What College Kids Really Want For Christmas

Christmas Eve is right around the corner which means everyone is sprinting trying to get that last minute shopping in. I'm sure the usual "what do you want for Christmas?" question has popped up a couple of times, and as a college student, here are a few things I would be more than thrilled to see underneath my Christmas tree:

1. A decent report card.

2. And with that, a 4.0 GPA.

3. No class on Fridays.

4. Interesting professors.

5. Free tutors.

6. A coffee machine.

7. Or Starbucks gift cards.

8. Let's be honest, gift cards to anywhere.

9. An infinite amount of naps.

10. Sleep, in general.

11. Noise-cancelling headphones for when people are being idiots and you just want to tune out the world.

12. Student-loans paid off.

13. A job without the hassle of finding one.

14. Money for textbooks.

15. Money in general.

16. More hours in the day.

17. A photographic memory.

18. Someone to do your laundry for you.

19. A Spotify membership.

20. A basket full of puppies.

21. A private bathroom.

22. And a bathtub.

23. USB rechargeable battery.

24. A cozy sweater.

25. And a cozy blanket.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
