Of course, during the first few months of college, freshmen are bombarded with the same questions over and over again, such as "where are you from?" or "what's your major?" By the time May rolls around, you think the questions are over, but you are wrong. These are some of the most common questions college freshmen are asked once they're home from school.
1. How was your first year?
Common response in your head (sarcastically): Well, I'm standing here talking to you, so I think we can make the conclusion that I made it out alright. Also, how am I supposed to sum up an entire year into a casual small talk statement?
2. Did you decide on a major yet?
Yes, taking my general courses like COMS 130 and ENG 101 has really given me a good idea of what I want to do for the rest of my life.
3. Where did you live last year?
A room the size of a shoe box that I shared with another human being and my stockpile of pizza boxes.
4. Where will you be living next year?
Probably a room the size of a shoe box.
5. Did you catch yourself a cute girl/boy?
Is that really any of your business?
6. Are you glad to be home for the summer?
When you can find a way to move all my friends into my house for the summer and manage to find me a decent job, then the answer will be yes.
7. When did you get home?
The same time every other college student gets home every year...
8. When do you head back to school?
The same time every other college student goes back to school every year...
9. Where are your friends from?
Not here.
10. Are you going on any vacations this summer?
Let me direct you to my mom.
