College Finals As Told by Lauren Conrad

College Finals As Told by Lauren Conrad

In college, finals week is the worst week of your life. You have three or more test, countless papers to write and plenty of projects to complete.

Having to juggle all of this while packing up your belongings for summer can be a real struggle but we have all been there.

Here are 20 times Lauren Conrad has perfectly summed up finals week:

1. When you realize how much work you have.

You have three test? Well I have five. You have two papers due? I have four. The amount of assignments you have to finish is enough to make you bedridden for life.

2. You have no time to sleep, so coffee becomes your best friend.

Coffee is always a college students go to study technique, but during finals week it is crucial. You live, breathe, and sleep coffee.

3. When your professors say the exam will be easy, but you know better.

Do you mean the test is "smart person" easy or "me" easy? No matter what it is, it's best to bury your nose in the books.

Chances are the test will be harder than they say it will be.

4. Trying to save your grades in a class with make-up homework.

So you skipped a few classes and missed a few assignments. Let's hope your professor accepts late work and fresh starts.

5. Finding out all of your finals are on the same day.

Is this school trying to kill me? Hopefully your school lets you move a final if you have three or more on one day.

If not, good luck.

6. Trying to stay awake while studying.

Chances are you will fall asleep in the library or lounge during finals week. If you can't find time to sleep; do a quick workout, take a shower, or just wash your face. Dreams of finals and papers will dance in your head.

7. Any and all attempts to look somewhat presentable are a loss cause.

Get ready for class or study more? Studying will always win. Just make sure you brush your hair. Everyone else will be in the same boat. Sweats and a t-shirt it is!

8. When someone tries to have a normal conversation with you but you are too drained.

"Wait, what did you say?"

You will definitely zone out your friends due to lack of sleep. Just play it off like you were listening. They probably won't even notice.

9. Going out with your friends to distract from finals.

Sometimes a well needed night out, if necessary. Just make sure you don't get too drunk or stay out too late. You have all that studying to do!

10. Regretting going out the next morning when you have to study all day.

Too many margaritas on Marg Monday? Oh no. You have to power through that hangover and continue your studying. You can do this.

11. Your professor gets mad when you ask about the study guide for the 100th time.

How do you do this? Is this right? I don't get it! You may drive your professors nuts, but they are there to help!

12. When your professor doesn't give you a rubric for your final project.

How am I supposed to know what to do?! It's pretty rough when you don't get a syllabus, but when you get your grade back there may be more room to argue why you didn't do it right.

13. When your friends don't have any finals.

Don't look at me or even talk to me. How about you take my finals and I sleep? That's what a real friend would do. Please?

14. When you don't have enough time to even think about boys with all of this studying.

A boy texted? No time. All you need to care about is that test. Once it is over you can brag about your good grade to that cute boy. Pretty and Smart? DUH!

15. When your brain turns to mush and you can't even comprehend college.

What does any of this even mean?! You will feel like you're in high school again with your mushy brain.

Maybe a power nap can fix it?

16. Getting a surprise question on your final has you all kinds of mad.

How dare he/she!

The study guide did not prepare me for this question. Oh well. Think back and if you can't figure out the answer, make something up. Maybe they will buy it?

17. Having a group project as a final and hoping they don't cost you your well deserved A.

They better not ruin my grade. If everyone does their part this can go off without a hitch. But when does that ever happen?

18. Praying there are people who can help you study.

You better hurry and find that study group. Ask around in your classes and if you can't find one then create your own! Study party!

19. Realizing you only have a few more days with your roommate but still having to study.

With all of that studying, you almost forgot to cherish the last moments with you roommate. Take a break from studying and go get some food or watch a movie. You know you are going to miss her.

20. By the end of the week you are emotionally drained.

It's hard to even think about that final tomorrow when you are so tired. But power through it. Get a good night's sleep (if you can) and eat breakfast - you've got this!

When all is said and done, all the stress and studying pays off when you don't fail your finals. Time for summer!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
