I never thought I would be able to relate to the ridiculous cartoon characters of my childhood as much as I do now, and frankly, that terrifies me. College is a roller coaster that starts over every single day, and nothing explains it better than our favorite childhood cartoons.
Snow White - "You're never too old to be young."
It is entirely acceptable to spend all of Sunday watching all your favorite childhood movies. It is also entirely acceptable to go to sleep at 8 A.M., but take this one as you will.
Dory - "Just keep swimming."
When you have all of your classes in one day, it is extremely tempting to skip at least one. When you hit this point, though, you just need to take Dory's advice and think of the four-hour-long nap waiting for you at the end of the tunnel.
Spongebob - "I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready!"
On the first day of classes, you are feeling like a full blown adult and you are so ready to pass the semester. Give it a few weeks, though, that feeling will go away.
Elsa - "Let it go."
This one is perfect for when you fail an exam. Just let it go and forget you ever took it, you'll get the next one, champ.
Gerald Johansson - "It's real life, and in real life you can't always win."
In high school, everything came so easily (for the most part). But now that you're in college, you have actually moved into the library, just to pass your classes.
Rafiki - "Oh yes, the past can hurt you. But, you can run from it, or learn from it."
Failing that quiz hurts, but you can either look it over and try to figure out what you got wrong or you can throw it away to never be seen again. I suggest you do both, in that order.
Chuckie Finster - "A baby's got to do what a baby's got to do."
Almost everything is acceptable in college. No one will question your decisions because every has been faced with the same challenges.
Rapunzel - "Venture outside your comfort zone. The rewards are worth it."
In college, there are so many new opportunities to take advantage of. Joining clubs is one of the best ways to find where your interests lie, so put yourself out there.
The Fairy God Mother - "Even miracles take a little time."
Yes, it will take a little white to get your GPA back up. But keep at it, you can do it.
Mickey Mouse - "To laugh at yourself is to love yourself."
Sometimes (most the time), you have to step back and laugh, at all your misfortunes, to keep yourself sane.
Patrick Star - "Sometimes we have to go deep inside ourselves to solve our problems."
College teaches you a lot about yourself. Though it can be very trying at points, in the end, it's all worth it. Also, if you look deep enough inside yourself, you will realize that college has made you very similar to Patrick Star.
