My first week into college, I was met with both excitement and a little bit of disappointment. College is fun, to say the least, but there were times when I was genuinely surprised. Here are some expectations I had of college, compared to what college is really like.

1. Expectation: Eating and laughing with a big group of friends in the dining hall.

2. Expectation: Thinking everyone on your floor will be super cool and you'll all become best friends.

3. Expectation: Going out with friends and having a blast.

Reality:

4. Expectation: Making the right choices and choosing not to go out every night.

5. Expectation: Thinking you'll see the same things every day.

6. Expectation: Planning out your day and making sure you have enough time for everything you need to do.

7. Expectation: Figuring out where all your classes are and making sure you know where to go.

8. Expectation: Making it through the year completely happy, without any breakdowns.

9. Expectation: Having a ton of activities planned every day.

10. Expectation: Being totally cool when running into some old classmates.

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer. And if you haven't already guessed, it's beer. There are few things I take more seriously than my beer, in order are: sports... and beer. Here are my favorite summer brews:
