People have always said that you meet your life- long best friends in college.
In high school, I couldn’t believe it. But now with only two months left until graduation, I’m reminded of those words because now they’re written in my story.
So here’s to you all, my college best friends.
The ones who stayed up WAY too late with me, sharing silly stories and deepest secrets.
The ones who filled my Instagram feed.
The ones who’ve danced with me in the library bathroom.
The ones who challenged me to be the best version of myself.
The ones who stood by me when life got hard.
The ones who listened to what I had to say even if they’d heard the story before.
The ones who I hurt, and who hurt me.
The ones who were willing to say sorry, and listen to me apologize, again.
The ones who never let me lose sight of my worth.
The ones who I laughed until I cried with.
The ones who I’ve seen the world with.
The ones who have way too many embarrassing pictures of me.
The ones who are beside me for (almost) every crazy idea.
The ones who helped me survive crazy classes and nutty professors.
The ones who have cheered me on, regardless of whether I won or lost.
The ones who have watched me grow up.
The ones who reminded I was enough.
The ones who know it all and still love me.
The ones who sing at the top of their lungs in the car with me.
The ones who borrowed my stuff for nine months at a time.
The ones I truly missed when I was home on break.
The ones who’ve I’ve laughed about the past with.
The ones who’ve cried about the future with me.
The ones who have loved me, even when it was hard.
The ones who share my love of a good frappuccino.
The ones that were always down for that late night Cookout run.
The ones that my parents know by name.
The ones who understand my struggles and walk through it with me.
The ones who know when something is wrong, before I even say a word.
The ones who have become my family here.
The ones who have let me vent out my frustrations.
The ones who surprised me on countless birthdays.
The ones who’ve almost driven me crazy, but I’d go crazy without them.
You’re the adventurers, impromptu photographers, car ride comedians, third wheelers, all-nighter pals, presidents, counselors, partners-in-crime, cheerleaders, canoe buddies and peace-loving, google-searching, animal-loving best friends, who I couldn’t have done this without.
You’re the ones I want beside me to celebrate life’s moments, big and small.
You’re the ones I never want to lose, because you’ve become a part of my story.
And you’re the ones I want to walk across that stage within two months.
