Ah, "Gossip Girl." The ultimate Netflix-binge worthy show. Basically every high school/college girl has seen this masterpiece. And if you haven't well, that sounds like something Queen B might be upset with you about.

Oops, you probably don't know Queen B, welp, she's Queen.

For real though, when ONE girl discovered "Gossip Girl" at my high school, that was the end of social engagement, attention paid to each other, and our emptiness. I mean, c'mon, now. Watching and following the epic love of Chuck and Blair to watching Little J's destruction (or self-destruction, should I say?) is an experience like none other.

Literally, through every moment in college, you must think, "WWBWD?" or, "WWSVDWD?" (What would Blair Waldorf do? What would Serena Van Der Woodsen do?) Who's the lonely boy that turned out to be one of the upper East Insiders on your campus? Who's the golden boy? Is there a Chuck Bass? (Remembering how Chuck Bass can ease any situation or tension easily.)

If you haven't seen Gossip Girl, you might need to reevaluate your priorities (maybe). Read this, then go Netflix-binge. But, buy some macaroons. That's what Blair Waldorf (maybe SVDW, too) would do.

College is weird and fun and everything else. "Gossip Girl" explains it best.

When you find out your fav band/musician is coming to a place near your campus.

When you have $6 in your bank account and it's only the second week of the month.

When your professor announces that the final will NOT be cumulative.

When your professor tells you that you're one class away from failing from skipping so much.

When you just really wanna Netflix-binge and you have a chem test tomorrow (and you don't know anything really).

When you run into that person who was the reason that class was the worst you've had all semester.

When you see your favorite food in the cafe and it ACTUALLY looks normal/good.

When you get put on academic probation because your science teacher was literally speaking German the entire time.

When you've reunited with your best friend over break.

When your best friend tells you that she bought you real food.

When you get a B on that test that you pulled an all-nighter on.

When you get four hours of sleep a night during finals week.

When you're just so #blest it's syllabus week.

When you look at your planner and you realize you have three tests, a paper, and a project due next week.

When you see that you have two loads of laundry to do but not enough quarters to do it.

When you drop your latte while trying to keep your life together in the library.

XOXO,

obsessed GG fan

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
