College: As Told By Dumb And Dumber

We're really doing it aren't we, Harry?

College: As Told By Dumb And Dumber

College brings a lot of baggage. Though the main aspect is to study hard and earn a degree, in college you can often find a whirlwind of opportunity, emotions, decisions, and struggles - kind of like Lloyd Christmas and Harry. Okay, so maybe those two had it a bit easier than us college kids. However, the fun times and the hard times of college are what makes it the journey it is, and as long as you can hold on tight and enjoy the ride like Lloyd and Harry, you'll be just fine!

1. When your first college test went nothing as expected, and you try to tell your friends about it.

The most frustrating thing is trying to tell your friends how hard a test or class is, when they think it sounds so easy. Sometimes you feel as if this is the only reaction you get.

2. When your friends force you to go out, even though the temperature is below freezing.

Everyone else is going, too. So obviously you have to go. You thought it would be a warm, Netflix night- you thought wrong.

3. When you get your first glimpse of frat boys, then quickly realize you're covered in sweat and desperately need a shower because of move-in-day.

First day at college, you unpack your dorm and now you are ready to take on the world. Until you remember how you look after this long day...back in the car.

4. When you walk into the dining hall for the first time.

This one is pretty self explanatory. Food here, food there, food literally everywhere. It's wonderful.

5. When you have to give a presentation in class, and someone cute sits in the front row.

Get your power point presentation and notecards ready boys and girls, it's about to go down.

6. When you ask your parents for a few extra dollars, and they ask where all your money for the month went.

Seriously, how does all your money go so fast once you get to college?

7. When the know-it-all that sits in the front row gets proven wrong.

This may be one of the more childish tendencies of your young adult life. However, let's admit it, when you're right and the know-it-all is wrong, it feels darn good.

8. When you leave a lecture with pages worth of notes, but then your friend asks you to explain everything.

That's the thing about college, you can have a book full of notes and still have no idea what's going on.

9. When your professor says there's a 1 in a million chance you can have an A in the class.

So you need to make a 100 on the final, complete all the extra credit assignments from the whole semester, and bring brownies to the teacher. Bring it on, you're getting that A!

10. When you think everything is great, then you realize you have only a few short years to get your life together and start "adulting."

What is this thing called being an "adult" and why is it approaching so fast?

11. When you realize college is a blast, you're studying is paying off, and you haven't cried about a class in 2 weeks.

Just like real life, college brings those little moments that you can't help but love and enjoy. Cherish these moments, especially in college, because you have three tests, one speech, and two assignments due in two weeks...

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
