I have spent the past two years getting paid to make coffees for people and found my favorite drinks have been those I never thought to try before someone suggested it to me. Instead of a basic mocha frappe or coffee with cream, try one of these barista-recommended options next time you and your friends grab a cup o' joe.
Cold Brew with Vanilla and Cream
Not all coffee shops have cold brew, but if your local one does, I highly encourage you to try it. It's twice the amount of caffeine as a regular cup of coffee and is your best bet of keeping you wide-eyed for your work day or late nights studying. The vanilla and cream also adds a touch of sweetness without taking away the smooth taste of the brew.
Iced Latte with Caramel and Raspberry

As weird as raspberry, caramel, and espresso sounds, this is actually delicious. The raspberry syrup also gives the drink a red tinge, which is great for when halloween is around the corner or you're just feeling *sPoOkY*. If you're not sure how you feel about raspberry in your coffee, just ask for light syrup.
Latte with Toffee nut and Honey
In all my time being a barista, I had never even heard of this combo until my friend suggested it to me the other day. It's just the right amount of sweet to complement the espresso rather than overpower it and it is definitely my new favorite.
Dirty Chai
My father's go-to. This is just your standard Chai latte with a shot of espresso. You can do it iced or hot depending on how you're feeling that day, and it tastes just like fall. If you like cinnamon spices and some sweetness to your drink, you'll like this one.
Medium Roast with Honey, Cinnamon, and Cream
Honey and cinnamon are delicious, and even more so when they're in your coffee.
Latte with Lavender and Vanilla
Honestly, this is not everyone's favorite, but I have seen so many people order this drink and love it. If you like the taste of lavender, you should definitely try it; if you don't, you would do better to skip this one.
Cold Brew with Brown Sugar and Soy milk
THEbest way to drink cold brew. Not sickeningly sweet, but adds enough flavor to knock the edge off. The soy milk also acts as a heavier cream to give it some weight and bring out the taste of the sugar.
Latte with Mocha
A classic. If you don't like this, you're probably just more of a tea person.
