So you’ve met someone new who excites you and brings a smile to your face. But how do you know that you won’t just scare them away with all of your excitement?

Well I wish I had the answer for that, because I ask myself this question more than I would like to admit. I’ve got some advice to my fresh to the dating world followers.

Remember, that nothing is set in stone. You’re young; you’ve got your entire life ahead of you. One bad date or not getting a response the next day is going to be okay. Its important to wait for when you had a stellar date with someone that you didn’t expect because when its meant to be, things will just make sense.

Don’t worry about your how much makeup you need/don’t need or what outfit to wear, just feel comfortable and be you. Being yourself and loving yourself is the number one most important aspect of the dating world. You can’t ask someone else to be interested in you if you’re not already passionate about yourself.

Be steadfast in your decision. As a female, it’s so important to be strong in your decision and know where you stand on topics and issues. Stay up to date with current events and know what you like and don’t like in a guy. Obviously be open minded about any and all situations yet still remain true to yourself and what you believe in. Nobody is worth risking what you guard as safekeeping.

Believe in yourself. I feel like this goes along with being true to yourself but confidence is key and being successful follows along with that. Know how you work and know that no matter what, God’s got a plan for our lives.

And most importantly, know how special and loved you are. One person isn’t going to change your life, one person isn’t going to make you “whole” and “needed”. One person can make you feel like you can conquer the world, but its so important to just know yourself, follow your heart, calm down, and coast through the waters of life.

Our dating pools suck and the way that millennials date now sucks as well. Just know you’re never by yourself and you’re never too far from your next prince charming. Get up, get out their, and have fun.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
