These are some traditions my family and I do during the crazy holiday season...
1. On December 23: I go to the mall and go shopping. Yes, I am guilty of going Christmas shopping the day before Christmas Eve, but I do NOT get all the presents that day. It is a day of simply last minute small things to prep for gift giving.
2. Christmas Eve: the traditional Anderson-McAnally party. My mom's side of the family comes over and we celebrate Christmas with aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, etc. It is a great time to see family and to spread holiday cheer!
3. Christmas Day: Brunch at sisters, and opening presents. Since it is simply my parents and I at my house for Christmas morning, we open presents and just simply hang out. After a little bit, we head to my sisters where I play with my nephews most of the day and have a great breakfast/lunch.
4. December 26: Exchange DAY! Someone in my family doesn't really like what they got so we go to the mall or wherever and exchange it.
5. Sometime before the New Year: Longwood Gardens! I absolutely love this place. It is simply amazing and beautiful during the Christmas season. It depends each year who I go with (family, friends, etc.), but I do go every year.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone and have a great new year!
