The time has finally come: Christmas! Which means decorating the tree, making Christmas cookies, building snowmen, and WATCHING CHRISTMAS MOVIES. Thankfully, ABC Family offers 25 days of Christmas during the entire month of December, so you are able to get your Christmas fix at any time of the day. If you don't like what's on TV, you can always watch these:
1. Elf
Elf has to be number one because it's utterly hilarious and is a Christmas MUST. For those who have not seen this movie, Will Ferrell plays an elf that's in New York City spreading Christmas cheer (or loathe?). He has outgrown his miniature Christmas community of elves and Santa in the North Pole and is sent to New York to find himself.
2. A Christmas Story
This is a movie straight from your childhood. It follows a young boy, Ralphie, and his struggles during Christmas time. Ralphie must persuade Santa and his parents that a B.B. gun really is the perfect gift for him and that he, indeed, will not "shoot his eye out."
3. Home Alone
Another holiday classic, Home Alone. 8-year old Kevin is troublemaker, but when he is accidentally left alone while his family flies to Paris for vacation, he has to protect his home from two thieves.
4. The Nightmare Before Christmas
For those who love Tim Burton Movies, this one is on Netflix. It follows Jack Skellington, pumpkin king of Halloween Town and his journey after he accidently discovers Christmas Town. Being the scary man he is, he does not quite grasp the concept of Christmas Town.
5. Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated or non-animated)
6. The Polar Express
This one plays on Abc Family, and it is a great movie for the holidays. It follows a boy who takes a train to the North Pole. During his journey, he discovers many life lessons including the Christmas spirit.
7. A Charlie Brown Christmas
In this holiday favorite, Charlie Brown makes it a mission to find the true meaning of Christmas. Let's be honest, what would a holiday be without Charlie Brown?
8. Frosty the Snowman
A snowman is brought to life by a little girl and they are later chased by a dirty magician who is after Frosty's magical hat. Get ready to sing along to one of the catchiest Christmas songs of all time.
9. It's a Wonderful Life
In this touching movie, it shows what the Christmas spirit is all about. A businessman's guardian angel shows him what life would be like if he was never on Earth.
10. A Christmas Carol
This Charles Dickens book has been transformed into multiple movies and plays because it is just that good. It follows a man with absolutely no Christmas cheer and his journey through his past with ghosts as the tour guide. Bah Humbug!
