Its officially November, which means the holiday season is underway. Yes, I know halloween literally just happened, but when one set of decorations come down the other set go up. Meaning as soon as the pumpkins and spooky stuff is put away, the good ol holly jolly stuff if out to play. I know I know everyone who puts Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving is insane. That might a little true, but it doesn't mean that I will stop.
The second Halloween is over, it is game time
Once that last trick or treater comes to the door, it is officially the holiday season
The halloween decorations come down and the lights go up right away
There is no down time. The lights are already up before most people even realize that you took down the halloween decorations.
People start complaining that every year Christmas lights go up sooner and sooner.....but you know that you've always been this way
Why are Christmas lights such a bad thing, they make everyone happy. So I say let's bring them in summer, Christmas in July am I right?
People act like you don't know that Thanksgiving comes first
Obviously you know that Thanksgiving is first, it's a holiday that reveals about food. But you can't decorate for Thanksgiving the same way that you can decorate for Christmas.
Even though you have a ton of decorations, you still buy more and more
Since the stores are on the same decorating schedule as you, how can you not buy decorations to add when they're there for almost TWO months?
If you have a fake tree then it is already up with all the lights
The fake trees stay up with the lights for months because well, duh it won't die.
You have to fight the urge to buy a real tree the first week of November.
You can't buy the live tree until a few weeks before Christmas so your decorations aren't complete.
Yes, it is still 90 degrees outside but that doesn't make it any less of the holiday season
Yes I am wearing sweaters and yes I know that it is still 90 degrees outside. But I am fully embracing the holiday season.
Its never too early to be Jolly
Christmas lights make everything better, so try it this year. You might feel that holiday joy just a little longer.
