It is officially November, which means that we have only a month to get ready for Christmas. If you are one of those people who love to give people gifts but are on a strict budget like me, this is the post for you. I have siblings, parents, a niece and friends that I have to buy for. Here are some ideas that I came up with when brainstorming for them.

1. Have a teenage girl to buy for?

Well, for me I have found makeup, candy, cute stationary and YA books make a world of difference.

Colourpop has some amazing makeup products for decent prices. I personally love their eyeshadows, especially the Super Shock Shadows ($6), but they also have palettes ($12-$25). They also have lip products and so much more.

Morphe has amazing makeup brushes and eyeshadow palettes!

Some of my favorite YA books for teenage girls are "The Hate You Give" by Angie Thomas ($13.49 on Amazon) and "Moxie: A Novel" by Jennifer Mathieu ($13.05 on Amazon). Or, the classic books that I believe everyone on the planet should read, the "Harry Potter" series by J.K. Rowling ($49.98 on Amazon).

2. Have a pre-teen boy to buy for?

Nerf guns, video games, socks and deodorant; those are your best bet.

There are nerf guns ranging from $5 to $60-plus and they love them all!

All boys this age need deodorant. Axe usually comes out with gift sets ($9.97 on Walmart) around this time of year!

3. Have an elementary aged girl to buy for?

Anything Shopkins!

4. Toddlers to buy for?

The parents will appreciate clothes.

Target has some of the cutest toddler clothes; Cat&Jack is an awesome brand available there!

5. Best friends to buy for?

Candles and candy!

WoodWick Candles (Yankee Candle sells them) are my absolute favorite!! I love listening to the crackling and they smell so good!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
