Fans of the Hip-Hop lifestyle have been in a craze for this past week. This is because it was announced that Soulja Boy and Chris Brown would be settle argument in what is now a highly anticipated boxing match. The feud between the two veteran hip-hop artists started on social media but will be the first ever to be settled through a boxing match.
With all the confrontations Soulja Boy has been getting into within the hip-hop industry many are wondering why it took so long for someone to confront him.
Recently, Soulja Boy has been getting into a lot of social media arguments with popular names in the hip-hop industry such as Lil’ Yacthy, an up and coming hip-hop artist, and Quavo from the popular hip-hop group The Migos. The tension between Soulja Boy and Chris Brown formed after Soulja Boy simply liked a photo of Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, causing Chris Brown to record a video snapping at Soulja Boy. Chris Brown has his own history of social media beef that has more recently been center around Karrueche Tran. In response to Chris Brown, recorded a video exposing that Chris Brown as acting out because he liked Karrueche Tran’s Instagram photo and even called Soulja Boy’s phone to address him about it. While the two veteran hip-hop artists were exchanging response videos via social media, Karrueche Tran had to step in and address Chris Brown as
Some of his comments were slandering her reputation. Chris Brown then challenged Soulja Boy to a Boxing match in which he strongly accepted.
After the response video between the two hip-hop icons seemed to come to an end we received information from hip-hop legend, 50 cent, announced that he was working with Floyd Mayweather in hopes of setting up the fight and making it official. After eagerly waiting to see if this was real or not, hip-hop fans finally received information that the fight was, in fact, going to happen. 50 cent even came out and announced that they would be trying to schedule more fights for what seems to be a historical night for the hip-hop industry, although one of the proposed bouts has already been denied. If this news wasn’t exciting enough Chris Brown and Soulja Boy announced that they were recruiting two of the most iconic boxers in history to train them for the fight. Chris Brown will be receiving training from “Iron” Mike Tyson while Soulja Boy will be receiving training from Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
No matter who wins the bout, the boxing match between Soulja Boy and Chris Brown will easily be marked as one of the most highly anticipated events not only in the history of the hip-hop industry but the history of the sport of boxing as well.
