Chinese rice dumplings are on everybody's table in China when it comes to the Dragon Boat Festival. The dumplings are pyramid-like and are made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. Here are the most popular flavors of Chinese rice dumplings that nobody can say NO to!

1. Salted Duck Yolk With Pork Rice Dumpling

This is definitely my favorite flavor. First, the colors just look so match up and I can't help eating two or more every time. The combination of the yolk and pork blends in the mouth and gives me the feeling of both the softness of the egg yolk and also the chewable of the pork. The soy sauce that soaked the rice before also adds strong flavor. Especially with the pleasant smell of the bamboo wrap, the whole thing just tastes like a masterpiece.

2. Red Bean Paste Rice Dumpling

This kind of rice dumpling's rice is not pre-soaked with soy sauce. It won't make sense to mix the taste of saltiness and sweetness, because that would make it so awkward. However, the bamboo leaves' faint smell adds up and still makes it a duo enjoyment. You first smell it, and then you want to try it. The sweetness of the red bean is fully developed with the "sandy" texture when you eat it. It's the best choice if you want to add a little sweetness after the meal.

3. Abalone Rice Dumpling

This rice dumpling is probably one of the most luxurious dumplings. Merchandises usually never put abalones alone. They like to add other seafood or expensive mushrooms with the abalones to make it more delicious and also to sell it at a much higher price. However, I would say the taste is always worth the price. The taste of the abalone and other ingredients are just so soft that you just want to swallow them. The soy sauce used in this kind of dumpling is also different from others. It usually has more layers of taste and blends with the smell of the bamboo leave more thorough. If you crave for something that is limited or luxurious, this rice dumpling is definitely your dish.

4. Ice Cream Rice Dumpling

Yeah, that's right your eyes didn't lie to you or anything. Here it is, it's the ice cream rice dumpling. Honestly, I don't know how and why people come up with this idea of putting ice cream into the rice dumplings, but you have to admit that this idea is really creative and it really got me when I first saw it.

The rice in the original dumplings is replaced by the crystal-like ice rind that is totally transparent. The inside is sorbet-like ice cream with different flavors. Actually, I think the business that first comes up with this idea is Starbucks. They copyrighted their ice cream dumplings and named them the Starbucks Dragon Dumplings. However, they are designed specifically for China area.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
