Chick-fil-a, you once again are the good guy. In the aftermath of the Orlando shooting, Chick-fil-a was a ray of hope. As many people know, Chick-fil-a is not open on Sundays, but on Sunday after the shooting, Chick-fil-a was open to give food to people who were donating blood for the survivors of the traumatic attack.
Chick-fil-a is a company that is very open about their Christian views, and their CEO even has stated that he does not agree with the homosexual lifestyle. On that Sunday, Chick-fil-a showed exactly where their values lie, and that is with helping people, no matter what. They did not care that the injured were homosexual; they knew they were human and did what they could to help.
Chick-fil-a did not have to help at all, much less help people whose lifestyle they don’t agree with, but they did, because they are called to love their community. Chick-fil-a never ceases to amaze me with how they show love to everyone. It is something that everyone should look to and see what real love is. They did not announce it to the world, but people noticed and were amazed by how they showed support. Thank you, Chick-fil-a, for showing hope and love at a time when it is hard to see past the pain and terror.
