Break out your all black wardrobe and excessive amounts of black eyeliner, our inner 'emo' selves are about to make a comeback. The whole music world has been sent into a state of hysteria. My Chemical Romance released a teaser trailer on Wednesday for what seems like a possible new album or exciting news of some sort.
Intriguing, am I right? Well, don't get your hopes up too high. After the rapid excitement and sharing of the bands teaser with fans buzzing about a reunion tour, they released this statement the following day:
"We've been really touched and blown away by the response to the teaser trailer. We are not touring and there is no reunion planned - only a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade.
Thanks so much for continuing to keep MCR in your minds and in your hearts."
So, you can tuck your old middle school emo self back into the deepest pits of your closet, there is unfortunately nothing new to see.
Along with the 10th Anniversary re-releasing of The Black Parade, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed with sources that it will contain unreleased demos that were cut from the original record. With the releasing of this exciting but also upsetting news the band set up a pre-order for newly release shirts ( found here: http://mychemicalromance.warnerbrosrecords.com/).
Many fans are left heartbroken by the misleading trailer but the emotions for the re-release are bringing them back to a time of nostalgia.
Who knows what could happen for My Chemical Romance? Only time shall tell.
