It's no secret that some of the greatest singers are coming from YouTube these days.Look, I know that Justin Bieber was discovered on YouTube, but I do not place him in that same category of "great singers." Sorry if I have upset anyone with my extreme disinterest in the Biebs, but I just can't stand the guy.
Recently, one of my roommates told me about this guy on YouTube named Max Schneider. Apparently he used to be on some Nickelodeon show called “How to Rock” back in 2012, but it didn't exactly do so well on the air. Well, these days it seems that he is very into posting covers of songs on YouTube, and people love his videos.
According to his YouTube page, his very first video was posted about 4 years ago and has received nearly 70,000 views. His newest video was posted about 3 weeks ago and has received about the same amount of hits. However, most of the videos that Max sings in are featured on Kurt Hugo Schneider’s YouTube page. Kurt plays piano for Max’s covers (No, the two of them are not actually brothers), and those are the videos that have received millions of hits! Each video is filmed in professional lighting and is usually in a living room. Sometimes, they're even done in one take! The one-take videos tend to make me a little dizzy though, since for whatever reason, the cameraman loves to spin the camera around and around like that damn teacup ride at Disney World.
Nevertheless, Max has an incredible vocal range, and I highly recommend you check out his covers on YouTube. I am quickly becoming obsessed with his voice. Also, the other people that he collaborates with sound perfect together, and you can tell that they just get so immersed in the music they're singing. At the moment, my personal favorite videos of Max’s, which are found on Kurt's page are:
"Sweater Weather" (featuring Alyson Stoner - yes, she was in the movie “Cheaper by the Dozen” and a bunch of other stuff):

"Hold On We're Going Home" (he sounds INSANE in this one):

and
"Say Something" (featuring Victoria Justice - she's the girl from “Zoey 101” and that other Nickelodeon show “Victorious”):

Hopefully, you'll check out some of his covers and enjoy listening to him as much as I do!
