When's the last time you checked in on yourself?

We go about our days going to class, doing homework, going to meetings, going to our clubs/organizations, etc.

Everything happens so naturally that we barely even think about what we are doing. We do so many things for others, but we don’t take too much time for ourselves on a day to day basis.

There are days where we just need to slow down, sit and reflect.

We think, “I don’t have time to take time for myself.” We are constantly busy with so many other things.

When we get so busy we get stressed out and it can affect our mental health. Sometimes we forget to make sure to check in with ourselves.

Instead of always asking other people “How are you” ask yourself that question.

Nobody knows you better than you. Happiness is having good pleasure, good fortune, and contentment. Always love the people around you, your friends and family, but don’t forget to love yourself.

Loving yourself is very important and can help yourself confidence grow and help you on a day to day basis.

Although you need to appreciate all of the people in your life and you should never give up on someone. You should never give up on yourself as well.

Always be thankful for anyone who enters your life, even if they do you wrong or if they are just in your life for a short period of time. Everyone crosses paths and is put in each other’s lives for a reason.

Don’t spend your time thinking about what other people think of you because it isn’t worth it.

One of the most important things is what you think of yourself. Be happy with yourself and be proud of who you are. Don’t be what other people think of you or what other people say you have to be.

If you are happy with yourself and if you love yourself, other people will love you for who you are.

Most days we don’t even think about how we are doing. Sometimes we don’t even realize when we are happiest.

Although it is good to reflect on the hard times, it is also important to think about all of our happiest times.

At the moment, we might not even realize how we are feeling. Later on, it is always good just to think about our day and see if we would do anything different or not.

Making sure we keep up with ourselves is one of the most important things and easily forgotten.

Everyone needs to remember to take a few minutes and really ask ourselves how we are doing.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
