For starters, this is for me, not for you. I need this, and I feel that others do too. Unfortunately, with what happened, you turned me into the insecure, terrified of love, numb person I once was for a very long time. And I will never forgive you for that. I am not asking for pity for what I am about to write. I want to put this out there for people to know and understand the impact of the things that people may not understand.
You thought you broke me, but you have only made me stronger. You made me feel the lowest I have ever felt in my life at that point. And you know what, thank you. Without you and what you did, I would never be the strong, independent, kind, open-minded person I am today. You made me realize how much I really am worth. At one point, I felt as though I was nothing and nobody loved me or wanted anything to do with me. But really it was just your stupid self that lost someone that was worth a lot more than you will ever know. Ever. Sorry about your luck.
Cheaters never will prosper in this world. Because once a cheater, always a cheater. And they will always be a cheater in life, not just in relationships. If they know they can get away with it in a relationship, they will try to get away with it any other way they can in life. That’s why as soon as you know they your significant other may not be fully committed to you, run. Run as fast as you can and do not turn around. That is the biggest mistake, and I’m sure others will admit that too. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they really are a good person just lost along the way? But if a person would do something like that to supposedly the one person that they truly “love,” imagine what they would do to people they don’t love.
This goes out to every person that has ever felt as though they are not good enough because of a significant other making a big mistake by cheating on them. They are not worth you precious breath or time. You are perfect and there is someone out there that will make you happier than you have ever been before in your life and will treat you even better than you deserve to be treated. Trust me. Do not settle. Never settle for someone that does not treat you like royalty and loves you more and more with every day. You could find that person tomorrow, in and week, or a year. But let it take however long may take but never settle for anything less than what your beautiful heart deserves. You are worth it. Your happiness and love need to be shared with one that is ready and willing to give it all back and more.
