“Nothing will ruin your 20’s more than thinking you should have your life together already”
If life were a book, the chapters containing the years of your 20’s would inevitably be filled with the most growth, success, achievement, loss, happiness, sadness, and maybe even life. The years surrounding your 20’s encompass your development from a child to an adult, whatever that hell that means anyway.
Allow me to introduce myself. Hi! I’m Lianna! I’m currently a junior at Winona State University, pursuing a major of Psychology, with a minor in criminal justice. I suppose I could be considered pretty basic. I love coffee, I spend a majority of my time complaining about the studying I should be doing for college, and if I’m having a bad day shower me with chocolate and puppies and we can call it good. Although my basic qualities may fool you, I hope in my writings you find yourself relating to the words I let fall into this world’s lap. Through my own experiences thus far my 20’s have been filled with unforeseen changes, and obstacles pushing me a little farther into adulthood than maybe my comfort zone would like to allow. With each push I have felt my personal bubble grow thinner and thinner.
This period of life could best be defined in my words as a closed note test on content the teacher hasn’t covered yet. Allow me to provide you with some notes through this journey that is my blog. Things are going to be exciting, scary, happy, maybe tragic, and ultimately unapologetically real.
If life were a book, your 20’s would be the chapter you’ll never forget. We are all the author of our experiences, let’s make a chapter worth remembering. I can’t wait to see where this journey leads.
