The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with Chapel Hill and Carrboro in general, was hit with a water shortage over the weekend that closed the campus and sent students flying to the nearest store to stock up on bottled water. As the port-a-john's rolled in, many students rolled out and went home. Others were either stranded at school, or decided to stick it out. However, most students had similar reactions to the sudden crisis. So I present to you, the UNC Chapel Hill water shortage, as told by Rupaul's Drag Race gifs.
1. ALERT CAROLINA: Limit water use, there is a shortage.
But it'll be fine.
2. ALERT CAROLINA: Water is critically low! Do not drink or use until further notice!
Uhhhhh, I see this becoming an issue now. Can someone with a car get me bottled water?
3. ALERT CAROLINA: Campus closed and classes cancelled starting at 1 p.m.! DO NOT drink or use water until further instruction.
I received this at 1:08 p.m. As I was walking to a class that started at 1:25. Also this problem seems to be getting serious?
4. ALERT CAROLINA: Oh yeah, the town of Chapel Hill has declared a state of emergency.
OK HOLD ON THAT FEELS LIKE IT WENT 1 TO 100 REAL QUICK.
5. ALERT CAROLINA: Rams Head Dining Hall and Market are the only things left open on campus! Local businesses are effected by the water!
Of course I'm hungry now and have no food in my dorm.
6. DO I NEED TO GO HOME NOW??? THE DORM TOILETS ARE ALREADY GETTING GROSS AND ITS BEEN LIKE AN HOUR. Can I put up with this?
7. ALERT CAROLINA: DO NOT drink or use water!!
Welp. Outlook is bleak. I've never been so thirsty or had to urinate so badly before.
8. ALERT CAROLINA: Portable toilets are being placed near residence and dining halls!
This is bad news.
9. ALERT CAROLINA: The dining hall is going to operate on restricted hours.
Nooooooooo. But also please don't kill me with bad water so I'll follow your rules.
10. CONTEMPLATES: So Flint, Michigan has been without clean, usable water for 3 years and we are freaking out about a prospect of 3 days.

11. ALERT CAROLINA: Yeahhhh, campus is going to remain closed until further notice.
Looks like it's about time to call it quits.
12. ALERT CAROLINA: Um, go home if you can. The water is still not safe to use or drink.
You don't have to tell me twice! I'm leaving. I hope the water gets fixed quickly. Please remember this incident next time Flint, Michigan is brought up. We need to do more to ensure that everyone has access to clean, safe, usable water.
