When we first laid eyes on Chad, we thought he was all right. We thought he was just a bit egotistical, but maybe he’ll warm up as the season progresses. We thought he was just misunderstood. The key word here is “thought.” What am I referring to you ask? The Bachelorette, duh. After getting sucked in last season with the dreamy Ben Higgins and his “I love you, no, wait, I love you,” drama, I anxiously awaited Jojo’s triumphant return to ABC. Now, Chad was never my first choice or even top three (#TeamChase and #Team Jordan!), but after the past few episodes, he sunk to the bottom at his own accord. In the beginning, I actually thought Chad made some valid points, especially about all the guys already gushing all over Jojo when they barely know her (but actually isn’t that the whole premise of the "Bachelor"/"Bachelorette" franchise anyways?) and at times felt bad for him because how would you feel if over 16 guys were ganging up on you (P.S. Evan, get a life). You would defend yourself, right? Which is exactly what Chad was doing… at first. He quickly spiraled into a violent and temperamental character. It was almost like I was watching the Chad show with how much screen time he was getting. After seeing “jokes” (but seriously…) about Chad resembling traits of other dangerous threats to society, I decided to create a game, a game of who said it: Chad or a convicted felon? Let’s get started.
