Sometimes it's easy to forget that celebrities have a life outside of their movies and TV shows. Before all the fame and fortune many celebs went to college and joined Greek life while they were there. Wouldn't it be cool to find out that your favorite actor or actress is in your sorority or fraternity? Read the list of eight famous celebs below to see if you have a famous brother or sister!

 

Carrie Underwood:

Before winning the fourth season of American Idol in 2005, Carrie Underwood was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. She received a degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Broadcast Journalism. Since winning American Idol she has sold 15 million albums to date and has been awarded five Grammys.

 

Brad Pitt:

The famous actor went to the University of Missouri to study Journalism with a focus on Advertising. While he was there he was a part of Sigma Chi fraternity. He dropped out of school two weeks before graduating and has since starred in many popular films such as Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Money Ball and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He is married to popular actress Angelina Jolie who co-stared with Pitt in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

 

Jennifer Garner:

Well know actress, Jennifer Garner, joined Pi Beta Phi sorority during her time at Dension University where she studied drama. She starred in many hit movies including 13 Going on 30, Valentine's Day, and Juno. She has three children with her husband Ben Affleck who is also a popular actor.

 

Will Ferrell:

Will Ferrell studied Sports Broadcasting at the University of California where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He was known by his classmates as a comedian and would often pull pranks. He s famous for being on Saturday Night live where he starred regularly from 1995-2002. Ferrell also starred in a number of comedies including Old School and Elf.

 

Whitney Port:

Whitney Port is famous for starring on the reality show The Hills with Lauren Conrad in 2006. She is the author of “True Whit” and also has her own fashion line called “Whitney Eve”. Prior to her fame and success Port was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at the University of Southern California where she studies Gender Studies.

 

Ashton Kutcher:

Before he became successful as an actor Ashton Kutcher studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Iowa. During this time he was also a part of Delta Chi fraternity. After dropping out of college to model for Next modeling agency he stared in That '70s show from 1998-2006. He also produced the TV show Punk'd and appeared in many movies such as Killers, No Stings Attached, New Year's Eve and Jobs.

 

Sheryl Crow:

Sheryl Crow is another celeb that was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She majored in Music Composition, Performance and Education while at the University of Missouri. Before becoming a successful pop singer, Crow was a music teacher in Missouri. After writing jingles for companies like Toyota and McDonalds she set off to record her own album. To date she has released eight albums and sold over 15 million albums in the US alone.

 

Matthew McConaughey:

 

Matthew McConaughey studied Radio, Television and Film at The University of Austin. During his college years he was a part of Delta Tau Delta fraternity on campus. Since then he has been in many hit movies including Fool's Gold, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and Magic Mike.
