I know that for a lot of people that even the idea of seeing a hint of Christmas before December is horrifying to them. They grumble and complain that the stores are starting to sell Christmas decorations and they dread the day the radio station starts playing Christmas carols.

I, however, am the complete opposite. Christmas is my favorite holiday, hands down. The music, the decorations, the food, it's all completely wonderful to me. I have no qualms about the radio playing "Jingle Bells" once November 1st approaches, and I get irrationally excited when I walk into a store and see all the ornaments and wrapping paper everywhere. In my mind, there is no reason why we should have to wait until December to start celebrating.

Here are 15 reasons Christmas should start in November:

1. Halloween starts in September if you think about it. It's only fair.

2. It's literally the most wonderful time of the year – there’s even a song written about it.

3. Speaking of songs, Christmas music makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

4. Decorating is fun, so why not get a head start?

5. There is nothing more exciting than driving down the street and seeing all the houses decked out in festive cheer.

6. It takes me ten years to decorate for Christmas, I want to be able to look at my decorations for as long as possible.

7. For a college student, the earlier we are reminded of something, the more likely we will actually get it done – like buying Christmas presents, for example.

8. The sales before Christmas don’t make my wallet cry, as much.

9. Two months of nostalgia-filled walks down memory lane are better than one.

10. The Hallmark channel is airing corny Christmas movies starting November 1st and I don’t want to miss any of them.

11. Christmas inspired beverages are delicious year-round... I'm looking at you, peppermint mocha.

12. The anticipation of Christmas Day is always more exciting than the actual day. Why would we only want one month of it?

13. Christmas scented candles. Enough said.

14. It takes WAY more than a month to bake everything I have pinned on Pinterest.

15. It's literally a season about love and generosity. It should last longer than 25 days.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
