If The Cast Of "Friends" Was In Your High School Band

Phoebe would play the tuba; that's a no brainer.

If The Cast Of "Friends" Was In Your High School Band

If you've ever been part of a band you know that a lot of the time, people's personalities tend to go hand-in-hand with their instrument. A band is not a band without a peppy flute player or overly confident percussionist. The cast of the hit T.V. show "Friends" is the perfect example of all the different personalities that occur within a band. Here is a list that paints the picture of the cast of "Friends" as an instrumental band.

1. Drums/Percussion: Joey

In some instances, it can seem that "cocky" and "drummer" are synonymous. Who else to represent that that Joey Tribbiani, actor extraordinaire. Joey has all the passion, drive and conceitedness of a percussionist.

2. Tuba: Phoebe

Tuba players are very scarce compared to their interments in a band; it's what makes them unique. Tubas are very deep just like Phoebe's train of thought. It's what makes her stand out as well; Phoebe would definitely be the tuba player.

3. Saxophone: Chandler

The saxophone itself is a very charming instrument. It is used to play music from smooth jazz all the way to hip-hop. Just like Chandler, saxophone players are charming (or try to be at least) and versatile.

4. Flute: Chandler's Old Ex, Janice

While with good intentions, Janice will remain the character with the obnoxious voice who only show's up to ruin the day. Flute players are not necessarily that but do have quite the reputation of being overly peppy. They tend to be upbeat and excited.

5. Trumpet: Monica

To keep it short and sweet: simple at a glance, but oh so complicated.

6. Clarinet: Ross

Clarinet players are no joke. We take our craft very seriously. That is why Ross Geller Ph.D. the paleontologist would be the clarinet player. The love Ross has for dinosaurs and their bones is the same as the love clarinet players have for their music.

7. French Horn: Rachel

The french horn is quite the noble instrument to play. It is also very difficult. French horn players tend to be frustrated by their instrument often. But just like Rachel, it is the life they have chosen and they wouldn't want it any other way.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
