Why Carrie Underwood Is A Goddess

She's basically perfection itself.

Why Carrie Underwood Is A Goddess

Well I was never a fan of American Idol (sorry!), I will forever be grateful to the show for discovering Carrie Underwood. Ever since her first album, Some Hearts, Carrie Underwood has been absolutely dominating the Country Music world, as well as, all the other music genres. Last week I had the privilege of attending her Story Teller concert and it just reminded me how much Carrie Underwood slays just about everything she does.

Her Family Always Comes First

She is devoted to her hottie husband, Mike Fisher. After being together for over seven years and married for six of them, the couple had an adorable baby boy, named Isaiah. On her most recent album she wrote a song, What I Never Knew I Always Wanted, all about her husband and son blessing her life in more ways than she ever could have imagined. She’s also written songs for both of her parents, Mama’s Song from her album, Play On and The Girl You Think I Am from her album, Story Teller.

She’s A Vegan

Personally, I love having a good steak or cheeseburger and could never become vegetarian but I have special admiration for anyone who chooses to give up meat. She decided to be a vegetarian years ago; however, within the past few years she decided to become vegan. No wonder why she always looks so amazing.

Her Faith Remains Strong

In a society which many of our celebrities are not always open with their beliefs, Carrie Underwood has never shied away from sharing her faith. Starting with her first hit single Jesus Take The Wheel to her more recent song, Something In The Water, Carrie Underwood rejoices in her strong faith.

She Writes the Majority of Her Own Songs

It takes a special kind of person with a lot of creativity to be able to write countless numbers of hit songs. The majority of songs that Carrie Underwood has sung and perform, she has either written completely herself or been a cowriter.

Her Songs Are Relatable and Fierce

All of her songs are jammed packed with meaning and significance if you look close enough. Whether it’s a song about love or a song about being independent, Carrie Underwood’s songs are definitely one of kind. One of my all time favorite songs will always be Wasted, from her album Some Hearts because it talks about not wasting the time given to us.

She Looks Absolutely Flawless

From the gorgeous blonde hair to the long, toned legs, everything about Carrie Underwood is flawless. She can rock a gorgeous dress with her hair and make-up done, but she also looks just as amazing in a t-shirt and jeans with no make-up. She basically every woman’s body goals.

Her Voice Slays

Lastly, the most important reason to be obsessed with Carrie Underwood is her amazing voice. She can sing any song given to her. At the concert I went to, she sang I Will Always Love You and she killed it! No music is needed to help Carrie Underwood’s voice sound as great as it does.

I don’t even need to mention the number of awards Carrie Underwood has won (there’s been a lot), it obvious that she is basically perfection itself.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
