It all started on a gloomy day in 2007, when our beloved Louis Stevens was assaulted by his neighbor. Tweens everywhere were baffled -- how could this happen to our Disney Channel star! After news broke that the attack happened after LaBeouf threatened the man with a knife. It became apparent to all that cute little Louis was out, and manly-man Shia LaBeouf was in.
Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane before we get into the true nitty-gritty; Shia LaBeouf rose from a childhood of poverty to every kid’s, tween’s, teen’s (I could keep going) TV set. The boy then transitioned smoothly into a man on the big screen. After four years of Disney Channel, Shia LaBeouf was ready to put his big kid pants on. He starred in numerous blockbuster hits and made a name for himself.
LaBeouf then made an even greater name for himself. In recent years, the star has told Entertainment Weekly that his strategy for avoiding trouble is “just don’t f*** up,”.
After LaBoeuf announced on Twitter that he was retiring from life, he attended the Berlin Film Festival and told the world that he is not famous anymore.
Even though LaBeouf is “no longer famous,” he hasn’t let his talents go to waste. His 2014 piece entitled #IAMSORRY showcased LeBouf’s artistic side. Fans were invited to view his new work at the LA Cohen Gallery. After choosing from a bizarre array of items, guests were led to a room where LBeouf sat with his “I am not famous anymore” bag over his head. If visitors were lucky, they would attend the viewing where LaBeouf removed the bag from his head and cried. Fingers crossed you were at that one.
After a few restaurant bannings and bar fights, LaBeouf appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show with some great things to say. He was humble, he was charming, and he responded well to everything Ellen dished out. It seemed as if we had our Louis Stevens back.
This past week, LaBeouf released his latest performance #ALLMYMOVIES, which took place at the Angelika Film Center in New York. LaBeouf invited fans to join as he live-streamed himself watching every movie he’s ever starred in. LaBoeuf has a schedule for followers: he is watching the movies in reverse chronological order, with no breaks, 24/7, for three days… #ALLMYMOVIES.
His recent work has fueled the LaBeouf fire once again. Lately, everyone has been getting all hot and bothered over this LaBeouf live tweet. Personally, I think he’s brilliant. Though the man has stumbled a few times these past few years—okay, stumbled a ton— he never left. Tweens of the early 2000s—Louis Stevens has always been here! The man just needed to find himself. Personally, I like the new refined Stevens; LaBeouf is a gem. Give him and his leggings a chance.
Shia LaBeouf, I will gladly watch all your movies with you and in reverse chronological order. #ALLMYMOVIES!
