It sounds funny, doesn’t it? A college student who doesn’t want to sit and watch Netflix all day in bed? I guess that’s what happens when you grow up always running from one event to the next or doing homework or participating in an extracurricular activity.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of sitting and binge watching a TV show all day. However, while I am doing so, I have to be using my time in another way as well.
Whether this is writing a “to-do” list, organizing my planner for the week or cleaning up the area where the screen playing of my binge-worthy show sits, I am always trying to utilize my time in another way.
Crazy right? Not really. I and many others I know we get stressed out when time is spent only doing the well-known “Netflix and Chill.” Most people shrug off the feeling and can be alright relaxing for the moment and continuing their duties another time.
If I do that, my skin will break out from stress and I will have but no other choice to eat my stress away. (I mean Stressed spelled backward is Desserts… it only makes sense.)
Usually, my time spent “Netflixing” is also spent writing articles, doing laundry, or whatever else I can do to clean up my to-do list for the week. Don’t worry I am not a strange alien who doesn’t enjoy doing anything… I am just a stressed college student who only has so much time to binge watch… and that time usually turns into sleep.
For all of those who thought they were the only ones like this… I am here to tell you that you aren’t alone. And if no one else relates, then I will remain strong how I am and do my best to relax like the rest of the world.
