Last month, I decided to dress up as Chance the Rapper for Halloween, after recently becoming pretty much obsessed with his music. Despite thinking that no one was going to know who I was trying to be, I was pleasantly surprised when I was approached by so many people about my costume. This night really made me think about how great Chance’s music is, but also just how amazing HE is. So if you somehow read this Chance (which is unlikely considering you never responded to my DM of my Halloween costume on Instagram), just know you are unreal and very much appreciated.
All of his music is free.

Chance the Rapper has never charged fans any money for any of the songs he has released. Ever. All of his profits comes from tours, merchandise, meet-and-greets and deals with companies.
He is extremely charitable.
Chance has used his increasing popularity to give back to the city he grew up in, Chicago. He works with a coat company to provide resources to the homeless, he organizes free concerts and events for kids and even holds “Open Mike” nights for young artists. He was even given the “Outstanding Youth of the Year Award” for everything he does for children in Chicago.
He won't sign a record deal.
Chance has never signed with a record company and says he wants to keep them far away from his music. Despite not having a label, Chance has a top ten album and hosts his own very successful festival.
His apparel is unreal.
Chance may or may not have started the whole overalls trend. Okay, no he didn’t, but he definitely knows how to rock the overalls. Additionally, his incredibly cool merchandise typically features the standard “3” for his third album and consistently sells out.
There is nothing cuter than him in his Kit Kat commercial.
Click here to view it; I swear you won’t regret it.
I would honestly be shocked if you could read all of this and still not love Chance the Rapper.
