Imagine You Won The Lottery, What Would You Do?

Winning the lottery would definitely me help reach some of my dreams

Have you ever thought about what your future would look like or what you would do if you won the lottery? Well, I know I have...a lot.

My future consists of my family, friends, and lots and lots of books. Simple, right?

If I were to win the lottery, I would not just make sure that my and my husband are set, but I would make sure that our children are set or at least set up to help them build beautiful futures for themselves. I would help out my immediate family and my in-laws. I would not just want to keep all of the money to my family of four because we do not need all of that money to ourselves.

For my mom, I would pay off all of her debt, buy her a brand new car and a couple years worth of insurance. I would buy/build her the house she has always dreamed of and make sure that she has enough land for the horses that she has always dreamed of. I would pay her bills up for a few years so that she can feel what it is like to have a financial free life.

For my little sister, I would pay for her college and buy her a newer used car (and insurance, of course). I want her to start life out without the stress of student loans. As a treat, I would also buy her some anime to kick off her collection.

For my brother, I would buy him and his little family a home to call their own. I would pay his bills for a few years and buy them a newer used vehicle (yes, yes, I did not forget about the insurance). I would also pay off any debt he may have. I would put money away into an account for both of his sons so that they had college funds for when they mature. Of course, I would make sure that these accounts were unable to be accessed until my nephews reached the age's of 18 or until they decided they were going to go to school.

For my in-laws, I would pay off any debt they had left and finish paying off their vehicles. While they are not extremely hurt for money, I would love to take away that added stress to their lives.

As for my very own family, well, I would put money away for not only college funds for my children, but I would put money away to make sure they had the best start to an adult life that I could provide. My husband and I would both have new vehicles, and probably a motorcycle for my husband. I, of course, would love to have enough land to own at least two horses (last I read, you need a minimum of one acre per horse). I would, of course, pay off all of our debt, student loans included, and make sure that all of our bills were paid off for years to come.

As a special, and very much dreamed of, treat for myself, I would have a library in my home for me to read and work in. I dream to be a well-known published author and fiction editor. To have a space where I can not only go to read, but to go to work would be the dream. I mean, what kind of author would not want to work surrounded by the smell of books and a fire (I want a fireplace).

This is just the tip of the ice burg for my dreams and future; what does yours look like to you?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
