Hey readers! I decided to do a small poem about dreams. I’ve written about dreams before, but this time, I wanted to bring more personification to them. Dreams are funny things and mean different things to different people. It can be the question someone answers readily or the question someone answers in time. No matter what the term means to you, I hope that this poem stirs some creative thought or otherwise. Enjoy!

When you hear the word ‘dream,’

What do you see?

How do you feel?

Does it move you at all?

Or make you nervous?

Dream is such a term that can make you feel important

It can also make you feel smaller than the tiniest grain of sand

Dream as an action can propel so many emotions

It can motivate you to climb the tallest mountain until you reach the very peak

It can knock you down in the same motion until you reach the bottom of that very mountain

Dream as a thing can be the very best friend you hoped to find,

Keeping all of your fears and protecting them

Or it can be the worst enemy you wished would never cross your path,

Laying your fears out for all to see

Dream as a concept, though funny as it may seem, can be so many things

It can be the finish line you never thought you would cross

Only to seek the end as you catch your breath from the whirlwind

It can be the stain on your favorite shirt

You tried many times to get it out and no matter how much you tried to scrub it out,

The imperfection stays with you, until you throw the entire shirt away altogether

Dreaming from on high or dreaming from the ground,

Remember this: no one is required to dream

Don’t make others feel irrelevant if they don’t have a dream

As well as making others feel stuck up because they do

This life works so strangely for us all and no one can have answers to if dreaming is

Wrong

Right

Needed

Unneeded

No matter which you decide, make your life exactly as you want it to be

Isn’t that the best dream of them all?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
