For some reason I always seem to hear the good news last but finally, and mildly overdue, it has come to my attention that there will be a Gilmore Girls revival, and honestly I was almost as excited as when I heard J.K. Rowling released a new Harry Potter book. The spunky and sarcastic Lorelai and her family and friends will be returning in an all new and exciting plot condensed into four, ninety minute episodes. So with the cue of the hit series theme song “Where You Lead” by Carole King, let’s talk about November 25th, 2016, the release date of the all new series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and frankly what will become the best day of my life.

First of all, let’s take a moment to appreciate the cast of this amazing TV show and the fact that almost all of the original cast members will return to continue their legacies. Both Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are thankfully confirmed cast members, because who other than those two talented ladies could portray the quizzically charming, hilarious, and witty mother-daughter duo that Rory and Lorelai depicted. Not only that but our favorite characters from Luke to Sookie and even Kirk will be played by the original cast. As if it could get any better Dean, Jess, and Logan, all three of Rory’s steamy ex boyfriends, will all be making their reappearance so that we can all, like Rory, fall in love with them again (Still trying to figure out if I'm team Jess or Logan. Probably Jess, maybe Logan, but definitely not Dean).

As with all revivals, there are a lot of questions that I and many other fans will be hoping to have answered, as the conclusion to the show left a little bit too much room for thought. One of those pending questions in my head, actually more like pending frustration as I do recall myself shouting at the TV the first time around, is who the hell does Rory end up with? Jess is a stud, Dean is a dudd, and Logan well Rory was just plain childish for letting him go. I, like anyone else, would like to know who this girl decides to build a life with or if she continues to be oblivious to the three choices that are so close in her grasp. Other questions that may or may not be answered, let’s hope they are, include if Lorelei and Luke’s relationship continue, will we see Sookie and Jackson’s now grown up kids, what other town events will Taylor try to control, and of course how much more mischievous can Emily Gilmore become? These and many more questions we need to be answered on Netflix’s premiere date.

Last but not least, what new things should we expect? Well, it has been revealed that new characters will be introduced into the show. The show will also be catching up with the current culture of today’s society but hopefully that doesn’t change the original flow of the all time classic charisma. One of the best parts is that Sherman-Palladino, the original creator of the show, is back on the team and is going to definitely put out her creation with a bang, showing us both a little bit of the old and the new.

Although I wish a number of other classic shows could be brought back into today’s society, some like Highway to Heaven and even the Wonder Years, I can’t begin to hide my excitement for the revival of Gilmore Girls. So in the spirit of the Gilmore Girls, grab yourself a huge cup of coffee or three, the guide to sarcasm by Lorelai Gilmore, and meet me on the couch on November 25th, 2016.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
