You can travel the world, but nothing comes close to the golden coast.

As a girl who grew up in South Jersey, I never would have thought I would have the opportunity to visit the beautiful California once in my lifetime, let alone twice. Being able to explore the San Francisco area during one trip, and Hollywood/Los Angeles during another, I have seen so many different areas of California. Although the five hour plane ride can be excruciating, it all is worth it when I step off the plane. California is a whole other world full of beautiful scenery and wonderful memories for me. Here are a few reasons why California will always be my favorite place in the world.

The weather is always great (Like, always)

This is a photo we took while on a tour of San Francisco.

In Jersey we have all of the seasons, which can be awesome and terrible. I am not a huge fan of the cold, and the weather is California is just right. The weather in California is one of the most popular characteristics of the area, and greatly contributes to my love for the state. You will never be freezing cold in California, which also adds to the experience of being there. You can do so much more when the weather is comfortable.

The sunsets are unbelievable

One of my most favorite sunsets I have ever seen on Santa Monica Pier.

No matter where I was in California, one thing that always stuck in my mind was the beautiful sunsets. During my trips to California, I took as many pictures as I could of the sunsets. There is nothing quite like a California sunset, and I had to take in every moment I saw one!

The people add to the experience

A picture I took while driving around the 90210.

Whether you are in the city or on the beach, the diversity of people in California make any trip to the state interesting. From regular tourists or people dressed up as Spider Man on Hollywood Blvd, to the men that look like statues at Fisherman's Wharf, without them, the California experience would not be the same. Let's not forget that you could easily see celebrities here as well which is another awesome part of the California population.

In-N-Out burger was founded in California

My first In N Out burger. (Hopefully not the last)

The East Coast is definitely missing out on this burger joint. California is the main place you can try a delicious In N Out burger "animal style". On my trip to LA, it was my first meal I had and it was definitely one of my favorites. There is no burger like it in Jersey!

Hollywood

The famous Hollywood Blvd.

Hollywood is one of the most amazing places in the world. If you are a huge fan of celebrities (like me) Hollywood is a place that is a dream come true to visit. Whether it is walking the walk of fame, visiting the Grammy Museum, sitting on the original "Friends" couch, or having fun in Universal Studios, Hollywood is an awesome place to visit. Plus, you never know who you may see!

San Francisco

A picture we took after driving down Lombard St.

The location right by the bay, the sea otters, the beautiful buildings, and Fisherman's Wharf are just a few of the wonderful parts of San Francisco. While I was not able to do everything the city has to offer, I loved exploring the city as much as possible.

And last but not least, the memories I have in California!

At Warner Bros. Studios on the original set of "Friends" with my Phoebe and Monica.

The fun times I have had in California with friends and family are ones I will never forget. California holds a special place in my heart and I can't wait to go back and make more memories!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
