As we get older Christmas lists dwindle down to mostly clothes, accessories, shoes, and more clothes. But, as our lists turn into more of the same year after year, some things never change. Now that we are back at school, showing off your new wardrobe is a must. You have all of the latest styles hanging in your far too small closet and you have class rooms full of new people to impress.
Too bad when we get back to school the temperatures are in the single digits and the only way to get to class is covering every inch of your body in bulky coats, hats, and scarves. The classrooms are freezing and before you know it you will be back outside, so you usually dread having to take off your coat. The only solution to this problem is finding a stylish coat, rocking the beanie, and having a wide variety of scarves and gloves. So, now that classes have started back up, instead of worrying about showing off your newest outfits, try and accessorize your coat with your cutest winter accessories.
You may have gotten your dream pair of Frye boots and brand new Uggs, but the sidewalk salt is your enemy. Uggs turn from flawless to crusty from the slush and salt in just one 10 minute walk to class on a bad day. You definitely want to dig out your snow boots and tromp your way to class in them. Even though they might be bulky and not match, they will not get ruined like your other expensive new boots. You may think your rain boots will do just as well, but unless you plan on doubling up on smart wools your feet will freeze.
If you’re lucky, your new classes are closer to your house than the much warmer, first semester classes. But, if like me you have much farther to walk you will take these small helpful tips and bundle up for the upcoming frigid walks outside.
