I've always believed in an eye for an eye, to get what you deserved; in Brock's case, he's going to get all the action he can take.
The fact that Mr. Turnover only received three months in prison for raping an unconscious woman is deplorable.
When I think of a rapist, I think of some sick and twisted soul who is also a social introvert; not some blonde hair, blue-eyed swimmer born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
I believe logic like this played a pivotal role in Turner's sentencing.
Was his sentence so lenient because he was an All-American swimmer? Would it have been the same if he was a student of another ethnicity at a state college?
I think Turner's status and appearance were the two biggest factors in the court's decision; I also think this is why he'll be sore in prison.
I really don't understand the light sentence. I mean, how could someone who invades an unconscious person's body behind a dumpster be deemed as anything less than a monster?
I wish someone a little more sinister had caught Mr. All-American during the rape; then we might not have had to worry about Brock.
Three months? That's it? He may have very well ruined this girl's life, and for what reason? Because she had too much to drink?
What kind of man just puts his penis into an unconscious body? That's barely a step up from having sex with a dead person.
Frankly, I don't see how his dad could downplay sexual violence as getting some action. Any credibility he hoped to maintain to protect his son went out the window. I understand he wants to protect his son, but to debase this woman, who is a human being, as an object for his son to defile is appalling.
So Brock, I hope you have a backup plan other than swimming, because a sex offender with a crushed pelvis doesn't have a great shot at making the Olympics.
