We have survived freshman year of college, and it was not easy. There were times that we felt like the end of the year would never approach. Then on the other side, there were times that we did not want to semester to come to an end. We have grown so close to our friends — what would a summer be like without them?
Sadly, once you move everything out of your dorm, it finally hits that you are leaving your home away from home. You are leaving the friends that treat you like family. What will happen when you get back to the school? Will you stay friends over the summer? What will the summer look like? Will we spend all of our days out by the pool? Or will we spend our time working? There are so many questions that will run across your mind.
Odds are, every college student has already made multiple plans for the summer. There are so many places to travel, but we all know college students are on a limited budget. My goal is to provide a few cheap things that you can do over the summer. Many activities do not have to be planned — simply flip a coin to find out what you will do for the day with your friends. My hope is that you make this summer everything that you want it to be!
1. Attend a major league baseball game — Go Braves!
2. Spend a week at the beach, or at least the weekend.
3. Go hiking and see new places.
4. Spend a weekend at the lake — who doesn't like going out on a boat?
5. Have a movie marathon with friends.
6. Take a dreaded summer class to get ahead.
7. Attend an outdoor concert.
8. Have a bonfire.
9. Go on a road trip.
10. Go to an amusement park.
11. Go to a drive-in movie.
12. Explore your city.
13. Visit as many baseball stadiums as you can. (This is a personal goal of mine!)
14. Go out to get ice cream with friends whenever you want.
15. Find a job.
16. Go workout.
17. Visit a city that you have always wanted to see.
18. Spend time making new "crafts" for your room.
