1. Can’t Feel My Face- The Weeknd
The Weeknd was either in love with a girl or drugs- nobody is really sure because the song can be easily misconstrued (I say drugs).
2. Locked Away- R. City (feat. Adam Levine)
A love song about if the guy were to screw up in some way, would the girl still be into him; sadly, we never actually find out the answer to this question… maybe there will be a part two.
3. Lean On- Major Lazer & DJ Snake
This party hit of 2015 is basically about a couple and love, similarly to most songs on this list. Essentially, all you need to know is some time ago he and this girl used to walk on sidewalks and she’s wondering if he’ll continue to walk on the sidewalk with her.
4. Stitches- Shawn Mendes
This song put Shawn Mendes on the charts; I can guarantee not a single person in the world knew who he was prior to this hit. Again though, this is just another song where I’m really unsure if it’s about a girl or a drug. Shawn is just bitchin’ the whole time about how he cant get this girl (or drug) off of his mind and he doesn’t know what to do.
5. Hotline Bling- Drake
Drake knows that when he gets a call at night, the only thing that it could mean is one thing (booty call). Then he wonders if the girl he once was with is with someone else now.
6. The Hills- The Weeknd
The Weeknd only sees this girl when its pack 5 o’clock and he’s feeling sad.
7. On My Mind- Ellie Goulding
I read somewhere once that Ellie Goulding claims that this song is not about her former fling, Ed Sheeran, and that’s a flat out lie. This song is about how Ellie could’ve really loved Ed, but they just weren’t on the same terms. Also, she liked his tattoo.
8. Love Me Like You Do- Ellie Goulding
I know this song was originally written for Fifty Shades, but it could be about Ed Sheeran again, who knows? All this song is about is how this guy makes her feel safe and scared at the same time and she doesn’t want to lose him.
9. Drag Me Down- One Direction
I can guarantee this song is just a big subtweet about how Zayn Malik really helped them but him leaving the band doesn’t mean they won't be successful. It’s also kind of them trying to flaunt to him that they’ll be okay without him. A pretty solid power move in my eyes.
10. Like I’m Going to Lose You- Meghan Trainor (feat. John Legend)
This is self-explanatory. Meghan and John are just singing about how they’re going to love someone like it’s their last time with them…it’s in the title.
