As I wrap up my first month in college, I've really started reflecting on the previous years that led up to this exact moment. I've grown and changed in ways that I never could've imagined for myself. My mind has expanded so much and I feel like it's all been going so smoothly.
And I have you all to thank.
You not only taught me the material you were paid to teach me, like how to conjugate verbs or find the tangent of a triangle, but how to be myself along the way. Sitting in your classes for 80 minutes a day shaped who I have become as a somewhat productive member of society. You all taught me how to take things seriously, but not seriously enough where it causes me too much stress and I drown in stresses and worry. Because of you, I developed loves for things I never would have even thought of unless I ended up learning from your daily lectures. My passions began to form under your guidance and support.
All throughout my time in high school, I always heard the phrase "Leave a Legacy" in the halls and plastered on the walls. Though I'm not sure I really left one myself, I know that I became a part of yours. I thank you for all of the time and effort you all put into me, no matter how often you might have wanted to give up on me.
