Ohio State only gave former Coach Zach Smith a Six-thousand Dollar raise after he was accused of felonious assault.

Former Wide Receiver's Coach Zach Smith was only given a $6600 pay raise after the 2015 season. His smallest pay-raise at the University during his tenure there. Why is this so peculiar, you may ask? Well, it just so happens to be a coincidence that he received his lowest pay-raise there only AFTER he was being investigated for Domestic Assault against his former wife that same year. His pay raise the year before? 50,000 dollars. That's right, the University of Ohio state decided to really stick it to this man by only raising his salary 6,600 dollars for the crimes he committed against his wife. I found this extremely interesting as this pay raise was allocated before Ohio State faced any public backlash for leaving Zach Smith a member of the coaching staff after the fact. I honestly see little action coming from this, and I doubt Ohio State will actually have any gall whatsoever to ban their all-star coach. It's sad to see that Ohio State won't have any spine to step in and say there has to be some form of punishment, but perhaps this will start to open people eyes on what they want from a school's athletic department.

Inflation is heating up, and Wage growth is not keeping up.

The Consumer Price Index- The core index for measuring the cost of living excluding food and fuel rose up 2.4 percent from a year ago. That wiped out any gains that the Wage growth has had the past year as well. Wages have stagnated in the recent months, and this finding by the Labor Department will probably bolster the Federal Reserve's argument to continue to raise the Keynote Interest Rate in September. According to the Labor department, most of the gains in the Core CPI index and the Overall CPI index were due to rising shelter costs over the past year and this summer. Over the past year Wage growth adjusted for inflation is actually down 0.2 percent on a year-to-date basis.

It's Settled. Cash App has surpassed Venmo. Get over it.

That's right Normies, YOU LOSE. Cash App's stock rocketed on news that they surpassed Venmo for downloads on both Android and Apple app stores. I'm pretty excited about this because I know I can definitively say that Cash app is the bigger, better, and more common app to use.

Volkswagen Hippie Vans are BACK, sort of.

I think we've all been waiting on this comeback for some time now. The grand California is back, and bigger than ever. If you're about that Van life, check em out you might think they're pretty tight.

Man loses finger during fight at Massachusetts golf course.

Whoever said golf is boring got it wrong. You don't hear about fights breaking out on the course very often, because it's considered the game with manners, but not in this case.

A Knicks fan is officially auctioning off his fanhood on ebay

Poor knicks fans. They never catch a break and apparently some of them are fed up about it. One fan has decided to auction off his fanhood, and in return he will become a fan of whomever is the highest bidder on ebay.

Animal crossings lead to decline in roadkill

A 2016 study has shown that natural land crossings for animals designed to divert them away from the road are successful and have lead to an 83% reduction in large-mammal roadkill. Anytime we're doing something for the animals I can get behind it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
