To the boys who fall in love with my best friends,

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you. You scored yourself one of the coolest girls on the planet, so try not to mess it up, okay? Understand that you are currently dating a huge part of my life. She's been there for me through it all and I honestly can't remember a day where I didn't talk to her. I've seen her heart broken plenty of times and seeing her unhappy makes me just as upset. I'm sure you're a great guy (my friends have excellent taste), but you're going to need to step it up because that's what she deserves.

I've never seen my friend care more about a guy than she does for you. Her face lights up when she talks about your dates and she smiles at every text you send her. It's rare for a relationship to stay in the honeymoon phase forever, I know, but I hope you never stop treating her like she's the best thing that ever happened to you (because we both know she is).

Believe me when I say that she is way out of your league. My best friends are hilarious, loyal, gorgeous, badasses, and completely irreplaceable. There have been plenty of crappy guys before you, so we've learned to set the bar pretty high.

She's a ride or die, so there's a pretty good chance she'll forgive you when you mess up. We've had plenty of fights, but at the end of the day, I know she's not going anywhere. Her loyalty is one of her greatest qualities and I'm begging you not to take advantage of that.

She's the funniest person I know, but she goes silent when she's sad. If her jokes ever stop and her smile fades, I'll probably never forgive you. I know she makes you happy, so I'm hoping that you never take her for granted. You should always be treating her like a princess, because I know she'll always make an effort to treat you like a prince.

Let's face it, I'll probably never believe that you (or anyone else) is good enough for my best friend. But she believes that you're worth her time and like I said, she has excellent taste.
