13 Boy Bands That Will Bring Back All The Nostalgia

Long live the boy band! As something that truly moves and grooves you to your core, boy bands are that infectious beat mixed with a little sex appeal of a group of usually good-looking guys. There's nothing quite like a cute boy that can sing, and seeing that I once went to a One Direction concert where I sat in front of a row of moms, their audience doesn't just stop at pre-teen and teen girls. All of the bands listed here are comprised of young boys who are famous for their talents of singing and dancing, and we all know and love them.

Jackson 5

This band may be from the '60s, but we still sing along to "ABC" and"I Want You Back" at every school dance and family party. Michael Jackson led this band of brothers (literally) to becoming one of the most famous boy bands of all time.

98 Degrees

98 Degrees is my sunshine after the rain and "Because Of You" still gets me every time. This boy band sang songs that truly had every teen girl fangirling their hardest with a full heart back in the late '90s and early 2000s.

Boyz II Men

"Motownphilly" is a hit that came from none other than Boyz II Men. As a hit used in many TV shows and movies, this could arguably be their biggest song. However, this wasn't their only claim to fame as they have other popular songs like "I'll Make Love To You" and even a few remakes of some popular Christmas songs!

(And who doesn't love a Christmas track?!)

New Kids on the Block

With the band getting its start in 1984, it's truly amazing to see that they're now active again and even on tour right now. My mom is actually going to the NKOTB concert this weekend, so maybe the boy band doesn't always have to end. Plus, anything involving the Wahlberg's has the right stuff.

Backstreet Boys

Backstreet may not be “back" per se, but they did have quite the run back in the day! With hits like “Backstreet's Back," “Larger Than Life," and “I Want It That Way" every girl was melting over this boy band.

*NSYNC

As the Backstreet Boys rival band and the other popular boy band of the '90s, Justin Timberlake led *NSYNC to popularize multiple songs that we still love today. “Bye Bye Bye," “It's Gonna Be Me," and “Tearin' Up My Heart" are played in my car almost every day, and I'm sure others would agree that these songs are some of the greatest boy band songs.

My Chemical Romance

The pop punk phase of the early 2000s really favored this band who popularized the song "Welcome to the Black Parade." With seven men that aren't of the typical boy band look or sound, My Chemical Romance (MCR) made a huge name for themselves with the 'emo' community.

Fall Out Boy

A classic punk rock band that debuted in the early 2000s and is still making music today, Fall Out Boy is remembered for guitarist Pete Wentz, and is responsible for some smash hits like “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" and “Sugar, We're Goin Down." Though this band is with MCR in the pop-punk category, they definitely have a closer look and sound to the regular boy bands.

Jonas Brothers

I gotta say, the Jonas Brothers were my entire childhood. Believe it or not, this band of brothers was my first concert back in 2009 and I was the biggest fangirl over the beautiful fetus version of all three of these boys. They're now touring again 10 years later and I'm literally emo that I'm not able to go... how cool would that have been?! From their most popular songs from back in the day like "Year 3000" and "Burnin' Up" to their newer singles like "Sucker" and "Cool," these guys continue to kill it and capture the hearts of so many women and even the attention of men- despite the fact that all three of them are married.

P.S. who remembers their TV show, Jonas? I know I sure do.

One Direction

We know them, we love them, yes- it's One Direction. Before they all headed their separate ways for solo careers, this boy band was filled with five foreign heartthrobs. If their melodies and catchy songs didn't get you, their precious accents and adorable selves did. I saw them in concert twice, and both times were amazing. From their very first album to their very last, their music spoke to so many people and songs like "One Thing," "What Makes You Beautiful," and "Live While We're Young" never fail to make people dance.

Big Time Rush

A recent and past favorite of mine, Big Time Rush formed thanks to their hit TV show by the same name. The show was based on four characters that were hockey players from Minnesota that took their talent for singing and performing to the big time in LA. The boys ended up recording the songs that were debuted in the show and grabbed the hearts of so many kids and teen girls. Their beats and songs are infectious and though some are overly bubblegum pop-esque, they would not be Big Time Rush without it. They also have some songs that you wouldn't even know are based on a Nickelodeon show. I can't lie, I even saw them in concert- it was awesome.

Imagine Dragons

Although they have female pianists, the Imagine Dragons are comprised of four males that belt out anthems like “Radioactive” and “Bad Liar,” just to name a few.

Panic! at the Disco

Don't PANIC! but this group of guys is one of the most popular boy bands at current. With their total pop punk look and sound, songs like “I Write Sins Not Tragedies" and “Say Amen (Saturday Night)" are unmistakably credited to Brandon Urie and his crew.

I can't wait for the next big boy band to pop up so I can go to their concert and I'll probably even drag my mom along to every single boy band concert I've ever been to. Shoutout to you, mom, for putting up with all these concerts you didn't wanna be at and still dancing with me and pretending you loved every second.

I love me a good boy band, and I'm sure they'll never get old.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
