Hello, I'm a book nerd.

It has come to my attention that you may think I'm weird.

You may think that it's odd that I get excited about breaking the spine of a brand new paper back.

Or that it's odd that I don't get out much because I'd rather stay home and get away

And that's all ok. You have your therapy and I have mine.

You may want to surround yourself with reality but me...

I escape.

every time I turn a page I leap I into a new adventure

I travel to far off places

Have a new romance

I have strolled down the street with Holden Caufield, while wearing my own red hunting cap

I experienced the thrill and excitement of one of Jay Gatsby's legendary soirées

I have simply walked into Mordor

I road the scarlet engine to Hogwarts

And and I rebelled against Big Brother.

I have received the best advice I've ever got.

I have made friends I will never meet, but will never loose

And I have traveled without ever leaving.

I have lived a thousand lives in only a few short years

And as long as I'm still a book nerd.

I will live a thousand more.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
