I love to read... like absolutely love it. Ever since I've been little, I've loved it. I used to be able to just sit in my bed for hours and read a whole book in one sitting. I would read during any breaks in school, after doing my homework, and before bed. I could get through a couple books a week, that's how much I loved to read.
Still, during the summer, I read all the time. When I go on vacation to the beach for a week in July, I'll bring around five books with me and read almost all, if not all, of them. My mom, my sister, and I have a book club of sorts. My mom will order books online and share them with me and my sister. If something crazy in the book happens, I love being able to either talk about it with them if I'm the last to read it, or taunt it over their heads if they haven't gotten to it yet.
Since I've been at college, though, I've found that I haven't been able to find the time to read, which makes me so upset, as it's my favorite thing to do and always the hobby I tell people if they ask.
I. am. always. busy.
If I'm not in class, I'm doing homework. If I have no homework, I'm studying for an upcoming quiz or exam. If I'm not doing that, I'm sleeping.
I want to find the time to read, don't get me wrong, but with my difficult classes, I just haven't been able to fit it into my schedule.
Winter break is fast approaching though, and believe me, I will, hopefully, be reading a lot during it.
I have two new books I bought a while back, and I'm determined to finish both of them.
Reading is so important to me, as it can be a way to escape into a totally new world.
I can't wait to get back into it.
