What makes every college student's experience unique is where they chose to live on campus. The dorms are the place where you meet your friends and make the memories that you'll laugh about for years to come.
This is how I rate St. Bonaventure's residence halls:
5. Loughlen
"Lo" has the biggest rooms of all the freshmen dorms here at Bonas. What I find most appealing about the rooms in Lo is that each resident gets their own closet. To someone who has a pretty extensive wardrobe, this is a huge plus. But the downfall is that the students that live there are separated from the other freshmen on campus.
4. Shay
My favorite part about Shay is that every suite has its own bathroom, and anyone that has had to use a community bathroom knows that's a big deal. It's also in an amazing location — it's close to the Hickey, near all the academic buildings, and it's the closest dorm building to town.
3. The Gardens
These six-person apartments is where I spent the majority of my weekends sophomore year. The reason I loved to spend time there is because everyone could fit into one apartment and still have plenty of room to breathe. They are a great little escape since they're set back on campus. However, walking to class or to the Reilly Center in the dead of winter from the Gardens isn't so appealing.
2. Robinson/Falconio Halls
I may be a little biased because I lived in Fal my freshmen year, and I loved it. I didn't have the carpeted floors or nice bathrooms, but I did meet the people that would become my best friends. That's the place where I fell in love with Bonaventure. It will always have a special place in my heart.
1. Devereux Hall
It's my favorite building on campus. The vines and bricks really grabbed my attention when I came here for my visit. The real reason why I love it so much is, that is where I had one of the best years of my life. My friendships were already established, and we never left each other's sides. We had random dance parties and laughed for hours on the third floor of Dev. It's also right next to the Hickey, which is prime when you want a late night snack.
