The Bomb In The Bath

Baths are relaxing, soothing, and sensory experiences. The warm water surrounds us as we lean our head back and close our eyes. We inhale and breathe in the refreshing smells of cleanliness: soap, incense candles, flowers, etc. We revel in and accept that relaxing atmosphere as we sink further into the hot water. It relaxes our sore muscles, furrowed expressions, and minds. We let the water raise our arms and just float.

But what good is floating? It can get boring, and the regular hot water is no fun to look at. Therefore, in order to add a little fun to this relaxing bath time, add a bath bomb.

As Easter approaches, all of the stores stock up on plastic eggs, candy, baskets, and fake grass. Want to make this year’s Easter basket more exciting? Add the Chick N Mix both bomb by Lush! Within this particular bathtime accessory, bathers get a three-in-one deal. This bath bomb is separated into three different parts: the chick at the top, the cracked egg at the bottom, and the yolk in the middle. When bathers receive this little package, they will notice that the chick has a face. Do not worry, the eyes are vegan chocolate chips. The hatching chick is yellow with an orange beak, and the egg underneath it is a sky blue: the yolk is orange as it traditionally is. As for the smells, they are all different. The chick smells like citrusy, bergamot oil and sweet, caramel tonka. Here’s to having a chick bath!

Here's one for the holidays or for those bathers going out to a party. This bath bomb is awesome and sparkles in the light. Also in the theme of Easter, this particular bathtime accessory is known as the Golden Egg by Lush. When bathers put it in the hot water, they will see the egg dissolve and bubble into a glorious display of shimmer. Bathers will literally soak their skin in glitter and have a nice shimmery glow around them when they get out. The Golden Egg’s bath bomb is made with organic cocoa butter, and its glitter is created from plastic-free seaweed-based glitter. As for the scent, the bather will breathe in the lovely smell of honey-toffee. Here's to having a golden bath!

Now, for those bathers who have dark souls and like to soak in it, use the Black as Your Soul bath bomb. This bathing accessory was created by Hex Bomb Bathory, and it is pure black. Do not get scared after placing this particular bomb into the hot water; it will turn the once clear water into a solid black. Here’s an added bonus: the black coloring will not stain the tub or the human skin. Bathers will walk out of bathing time smelling like blood orange. Here is to having a dark and delectable bath!

Parents know the struggle of getting their children clean in the bath. Well, here is an easy solution to engage young kids in bath time and keep them in their until they absolutely squeaky clean. Enter the world of Pokémon and invest in the Pokémon bath bombs created by FizzyFairyApothecary. These bath bombs come in the tradition form of pokéballs: read on top, white on bottom, a black line dividing them. There are other ones that have a blue top or cool design on them, as well. Yet, all of these different bombs have one particular thing in common: they come with a Pokémon inside of them. Kids will have to wait until the entire bath bomb dissolves in the hot water until they can gather the prize. This will encourage kids to take baths because they will want to collect and play with these toys that do not dissolve. Children will go to bed smelling like raspberries. Here is to entering the world of Pokémon with a bath!

"Stranger Things" has certainly taken over society with a force as a television show. Not only has it taken over the internet, but it is in progress of taking over bath time as well. Bathers, grab the computer and get ready for bath time. RudeAndReckless has brought to the table a bath bomb known as Eleven’s Waffles. These yellow bath bombs dissolve in the water just as quickly as Eggo waffles are eaten. Bathers will leave the tub smelling like Eggo waffles, butter, and fresh maple syrup. Be careful, though, bathers have one thing in common with Eleven: they will be submerged in water. Here is to an upside-down bath!

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
