There was once a guy. He wasn’t just an ordinary guy. He was a swarm leader. You see, the swarm was the greatest student section in like Medina high school’s history. This high school is a school located in the beautiful town of Medina, Ohio. It is located just 30 miles south of the big city known as Cleveland. (You may have heard of it before, because it’s like sorta a big deal…) Ever heard of a team named the cleveland Cavaliers who beat another team called the Golden State Warriors who blew a 3-1 lead in Game 7 of the NBA finals with a unanimous MVP on their team? Yup, that would be us. Good ol’ Cleveland. He had a job to do. His duty to the people of this school was to make sure every day the student section was better than the previous. This guy wasn't just your average joe, he had a name. His name was Bob. It was only 3 days until the big game and it was time to give it all he had in him. He didn’t know what had hit him. All he remembered was that there was a guy running towards him. It was probably a basketball player that had hit him as they were sliding across the floor. Or maybe, he thought, it was something else. He highly doubted it though. He had fallen down. Hard. Duh duh DUH. He heard voices from above as he got up from the gym floor and began to sit. He felt his heart pumping a lot of blood and adrenaline into his veins. He felt like he could do anything. Absolutely anything. He felt like a superhero. He felt amazing. His vision was still dizzy from the fall, but at least he didn’t have a concussion. Or worse. He heard people from all around him start to move towards him in slow motion. They probably wanted to make sure he was okay… “Bob..Are you okay?” a voice to the left of his body said. He lifted his head up off the ground and looked in the direction it. It was one of Bob’s friends, Tim Haw. Tim was a player on the school’s basketball team and he was really good at it. He had a scholarship from the university of Chicago, and was gonna commit to there in February. So anyway, he felt every bone in his body start to fall apart, but he didn’t know why and he felt his whole life fall apart. His life flashed before his eyes. It was lit in the hospital that day. He was born out of his mommy and the world was changed. FOREVER. So there he was, a kid who was destined to be a savage. As the years went on, he encountered important people that he would spark lifelong friendships with. As he started for his locker, he became more and more nervous. This has been hard to do ever since Bob decided he wanted to make friends. He had already made friends before (like Ham, Norton, Lindsey, and Nate), but he decided he wanted more. Something Special. Bob’s pulse started to pump up as he walked to one of the most popular kids in the 8th grade’s lockers. He was nervous ever since he started making friends. But Bob had a sixth sense that told him this would work out. That this friendship would be different from all the rest. He turned around from his locker and looked Bob in the eyes. Those eyes of his. Then he knew they were meant and destined to be besties. Bob cleared his throat and said the words that would change the course of history. That would change the world. That would change their lives for the better. The words that would change everything. “Hi Tim.” Bob walked into his 9th grade science class two days late and he was scared the other kids would make fun of him. Surprisingly, they didn’t (but Bob got to meet his health teacher Mr. Carver a couple of periods earlier. He sat down at the second table to the front. Then, Bob looked backwards to see where the garbage can was so he could spit his gum out when he got a chance to. He saw a pretty person with green eyes smiling at him so he smiled back. And you won’t believe who it was. It was the last lunch of high school and they were all at their lunch table together one last time eating and Bob wished it would never end. But they were all together and he wished they would never all go off to college in the fall. Baylor Bellomo. Paddle Ping. Ron Rurtis. Bobby Hansen. Nick Fryer. Rake Rurkhart. Rayton Shimdt. Ranthony Riloseno. Sorgan Soung. Rice Roran. Tim Haw. Rallie Roza. Jody Hise. They were all destined to be besties but their stories were all headed in different directions. No matter where they were, they all knew they always had each other. “Okay for show and tell, I-” Bob said to the class. The class had to bring in things that described us for Mrs. Minor’s class. “-brought in was,” He looked over at the people on the left side of the classroom from where he was standing to see Nick Fryer and Bobby Hansen whip out their Iphones probably about to take video on what I was about to say and put it on their snap stories. He continued. “Was the pictures of my friends. I brought these in because they mean the most to me and I don’t know what I would do without them… and I am thankful that I have them in the first place. These pictures of us that I brought in are more than just random pictures I picked out. They contain the memories to last a lifetime.” And then the room erupted into cheers. Bob smiled. “There are times in our lives that we will never ever forget, even if our brains and minds tend to forget these things. My besties will always be there for me no matter what, no matter what happens. But this one I made with a special person will last a lifetime. This one is special because it shows how far our friendship has came. We have been best friends since 6th grade when we started talking at our lockers and then we knew we were meant for eachother (and that we are so bestie goals). He is currently the captain of the varsity football team. He is really fast and good. Tim was also named student of the month for April, and has received offers from many different colleges.” Bob said without taking a breath. “There are other people in my life that matter a lot to me. I could have chosen anybody else to be my friends, but I decided on the people that were the best ones for me....and they always will be." Bob met them on a day. It might have been a Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Bob didn't remember what day he had met them on , but it was one of those days. Bob saw them from across the lunchroom, and he approached them. He put his arms around them, and then he knew they were actually identical twins. But, Bob knew how you could tell them apart. They were sisters and twins. They actually looked so alike, you might actually mistake them for each other. Bob didn't know it at the time, but they would become lifelong friends. He held them close to him as if they were his own. All I had wanted were friends I could talk to for hours about anything. Absolutely anything. It was hard to tell if this was Bob thinking to himself or ironically a third person narrator who might be writing this for a paper right now. But that isn’t the point right now. It may be true that this is the dopest paper ever written, but literally my dude what does this sentence have to do with anything right now? Idk to be honest with y’all. I just felt like writing it yolo. Bob was the last one to get off the spirit bus when they got back from the basketball game. He saw two girls waiting for him, probably to cheer him up. They had lost that game at Hopley High School and now it was all over. Everything he had put up with for four years was over. He put his arms around them and cried into their arms. He could feel his acl starting to give away from being stepped on and he had a big cut on his left leg that had been iced up. "It's okay." The girl under his left arm said. Her name was Peg, and she had been close friends with Bob for about a year now, but she was now graduating that year."You'll always be my little sparky," The girl that was under his right arm’s name was Hayna. It happened like it was only yesterday. You might be wondering what happened that night. On senior night. For medina boys basketball. Bob remembered he and his parents walking across center court. “Bob the builder, varsity team manager.” Bass’s voice went over the loudspeaker so everybody in the gym could hear it. Everybody started cheering. “WE WANT SPARKY WE WANT SPARKY WE WANT SPARKY” This made bob feel like nothing could because he felt like it was the happiest moment in the world. The game was almost over. The team was losing by 2. It was like basically a madhouse at the University of Akron’s James A. Rhode Akron, with the game going back and forth between Medina and Stow. The coach of Medina named Biss Basinger didn’t know what to do. He was out of options because every single of his players fouled out and he was on verge of having to forfeit. So he was like “This is bad, really bad…. what do I do?” so he decided to put his manager named Sparky in depict the opinions of the assistant coaches, because it was the right thing to do. Bob turned the corner on his way to find the bathroom, and stumbled on to two brunswick cheerleaders working on a banner of something. Something told Bob that the banner had something to do with Brunswick. Maybe it was his special sense of his that he called Jeffy Sense. He had gotten it ever since he stepped on a lego.Omg. They clashed their drinks together and were having a good time. They didn’t know what was happening because they were like DJ Khaled says in that one song of his: way up. Actually pretty sure it’s more like: I’m all the way up. Bob walked off the bus and his parents ware at the end of the driveway with the video camera. He carefully strolled down the steps of the bus, making sure he didn’t fall off of them. They were in the media center when it happened. The girl was Livia Larris and she was doing a amazing job of keeping her mouth shut. Bob was called up to Mrs. Cookie’s desk to get something. Bob took it back to his table and sat down. “ Well what is it,” the other girl at the table said. Her name was Haige Hassaden.” I got it,” Bob said excitedly. “I GOT FREAKEN MOST MEMORABLE YAY.” Livia smiled at Bob. She had known he was gonna get it and had done a amazing job of keeping her mouth closed. Bob felt sad. He had been that that way every time he thought about his friends off at college. Every time he thought about everything they had been through together. He loved them with all his heart. He couldn’t wait until he saw them again like they couldn’t wait to see him. Every day Bob wanted to go back. Go back to the way things used to be. Back when the friend group wasn’t breaking part every day, every hour, every minute, every second. Bob wished he had payed attention that time at one of the last basketball games he had been a manager of, when one of his friends named Bace Goston had asked him to sweethearts. I’m sorry. Or when she asked him to prom because of his autism. I’m sorry. Or when paddie asked him at lunch if he wanted to drink with her and the friend group. He wanted to change time and go back to the past and relive it all over again. Someday he would change the past and change their futures. For the better.
