Noise is truly an interesting aspect of life. It can be found in all parts of life, from the abrasive sounds of nails on a chalkboard to a screeching chord on a guitar. Discord naturally occurs in the world, but it is usually seen as an annoyance. The discordant qualities of noise invite discomfort and fear to our ears, and it is seen as an unpleasant aspect of life that we should stay away from. Noise can be difficult and extremely trying to bear, but it can be beautiful at the same time. Proper usages of noise in music can be truly gorgeous to experience, and My Bloody Valentine demonstrates this with their groundbreaking 1991 album 'Loveless'.

The guitars on 'Loveless' demonstrate the exquisite qualities of noise. Riffs are transformed into amorphous masses of discord that swirl around the listener's ears in a haze of distortion, and they approach noise territory with how they meander around the music. Feedback smothers the listener with waves of dissonance, and it covers the album like a bed of glistening water. The guitars on 'Loveless' frequently play around with atonality, but they are lavish as well. The seas of fluid feedback become pleasant lullabies, and dissonance gives way to outstanding grace. The guitar work on 'Loveless' demonstrates the dazzling elements of abrasion, and the cacophonous guitars swarm around 'Loveless' wonderfully.

'Loveless' is also a hypnotic effort. The floating vocals of Kevin Shields and Bilinda Butcher fleet over the album like a bird that swoons effortlessly in the air, and the lack of comprehensibility in their singing creates a wonderfully enchanting aura. The airy vocals combine with the raucous guitars to create a mesmerizing experience, as the listener is drawn into the spellbinding world of 'Loveless'. The stupefying daze that 'Loveless' invokes leads to a whirlpool of distortion, and 'Loveless' shows how noise can hypnotize listeners with careful usage of dissonance.

Listening to 'Loveless' is also a life-changing experience. Noise is used in an abstract form on the album, and its unclear nature leads to significant discoveries within the listener. My Bloody Valentine's usage of atonality invites warmth instead of fear, and 'Loveless' makes the listener feel like they've discovered their best friend. Listening to even a second of the album's discordant guitars can reveal significant perspectives that inspires a different look at life itself, and the beautiful vocals reinforce the wonder that is found in life. Hearing 'Loveless' can be a transcendent experience, as its version of shoegaze offers profound insights into life.

Overall, 'Loveless' is a fantastic album. Its atonal sound gives way to a sheen of relief, as raucous distortion relaxes the listener with its waves of discord. The incessant trance of 'Loveless' is something to behold, as its airy vocals and swarming guitars create a magnetizing adventure to behold. The ambiguities of 'Loveless' lead to new perspectives on life itself, as it creates meaning through its obscure handling of dissonance. 'Loveless' is one of the pinnacles of shoegaze, and it uncovers the graceful attributes of noise.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
