This past week, Black Twitter did it again! Black Twitter came up with a hashtag that captured and educated us on just how amazing black women are, how important and integral their contributions to this country, society and well, basically everything else! Here are a few of my tweets that reminded us that #Blackwomendidthat!

1. A reminder that Mary Jackson was a instrumental part of the Space Race!

2. How could anyone forget Michelle Obama?

3. Celia Cruz, her voice and her electric dance moves definitely did that!

4. Lenora Fulani, another forgotten pioneer!

5. Rosa Parks was so much more than the woman on the bus.

6. My hero, Dr. Angela Davis!

7. Don't forget about the trans women who continue to be on their grind!

8. Gabby Douglas, need I say more?

9. Never forget the contributions made to literature!

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
